(For the record, Ms. Erickson is not a supporter of Barack Obama. She believes that both candidates are equally dangerous to the American People)
You can’t get more “Mormon” than Mitt Romney. Mitt was a graduate of Brigham Young University, a Mormon Missionary in France (by way of avoiding the Viet Nam War draft), a Missionary Zone Leader, Assistant to the Mission President, a Mormon Bishop, and finally, a Mormon Stake President through which he presided over twelve Mormon Churches. So you see, Mitt Romney is probably more Mormon than Harry Reid.
The Mormon Church is a missionary church and is all things to all people, as Mitt Romney has followed that pattern in his campaign, evidenced by his many flip-flopping positions on issues for political expediency.
As Harry Reid has tried to “sully” Romney as a Mormon, Mitt is doing exactly what every good Mormon does.
See Book Excerpts that bring clarity to this issue blow:
The LDS’ involvement in political issues has not been the result of principle or the desire to serve the American people, but rather political expediency. Back in the 1880’s when Utah was seeking statehood, LDS officials were concerned about which side its members would support, Democrats or Republicans. According to Brigham Young University law professor Lynn Wardle, in an effort to appear politically neutral the LDS instructed its members to split among party lines. According to Wardle, “The church realized it was in a no-win situation. It sent apostles to various communities and said we want you to divide.”
Wardle cites an old friend and Utah judge who recalled others discussing the day the apostles arrived: “When the apostle came to town and said everyone who lives on this side of the street becomes Republicans, and people on that side of the street should register as Democrats.”

While typically branded as Republicans, LDS members also have influence in the Democrat party. In 2003 over 90 percent of Democrat candidates in Utah were Mormons.

Romney’s presidential bid highlighted the Utah/LDS influence. When George W. Bush ran for re-election in 2004, political contributions ranked Utah 40th in the U.S. In 2007, when Romney was running for the GOP presidential nomination, Utah ranked 13th in the nation. Ninety-one percent of all Utah political contributions in the first quarter of 2007 were sent to the Romney campaign. Salt Lake City in 2007 “emerged as one of the most generous cities of the ’08 cycle, along with traditional toppers Los Angeles and New York.” Salt Lake City also moved up its primary to “Super Duper Tuesday” in February 2008 to join 26 other states and was a leading contender to host the 2012 RNC Convention.

About the author:
Former Mormon Bishop’s Daughter and Political Commentator Reveals Real Story on Mitt Romney!
Tricia Erickson, (a Conservative) was the first Damage Control/Crisis Management Specialist in the country, as stated by Barbara Walters on the show “20/20”. Tricia is also a political consultant and on-air contributor. She has opined on many local and national news and entertainment TV and radio shows/networks. She is also the author of the book “Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters? The Mormon Church Versus The Office Of The Presidency of the United States of America.”
Because for the first time in history, a prominent Mormon could achieve the Office Of The Presidency, Tricia feels a responsibility to educate the public, both in the US and abroad, regarding what this potential Mormon President could truly mean for America. She is an expert on the well-masked cult of Mormonism and a former Mormon Bishop’s daughter who left the church in her mid 20’s.
From a political stand point, she believes it is imperative to reveal the facts on Romney’s appalling political record in opposition to what the GOP and the Romney camp shifts the voters to believe, in order to achieve the Presidency.
We have by now experienced with the current President what smooth words and entertainment imagery, as opposed to substance, can bring to the highest office in the land. Now, the GOP has served up this front-runner liberal candidate who has no problem with misrepresenting his own record for the reason of political expediency. The truth be known, there is not much difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Their policies and records are very much alike. Flip a coin!
Side note: Some of the issues Tricia has been called to speak to in the past are the dangers of Radical Islam, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Mormonism, all things political, the imaging-posturing-positioning of Presidential Candidates, the culture wars and more.
