Dr. William Scott Magill
I am Dr. Scott Magill, Executive Director of Veterans in Defense of Liberty™, (ViDoL) a national advocacy group of veterans dedicated to restoring and sustaining the original moral and Constitutional principles of our Republic.
VIDOL is not a charity but a 501(c)4 veteran advocacy group. In 2010 VIDOL was born in battle, being a charter member on Lois Lerner’s infamous hit list for Obama’s IRS. This was a price we had to pay for opposing not only the Deep State swamp of Washington, DC but also that which spreads across America.
I served in the United States Marine Corps, and the Army Medical Corps. I and the other members of Veterans in Defense of Liberty™ continue to serve with the same passion and dedication to our country as we did in combat. We continue to honor our sacred oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. And we act with a heightened sense of continued duty to ensure that the sacrifices of our brethren who did not come home, were not made in vain.
We continuously fight for veterans’ issues. When we raised our hands, we did not swear to defend a piece of paper enshrined in our collective history, but for the society it has established and guided for 228 years. It doesn’t matter if the topic is voter ID, immigration, national security, Right to Life or reforming the VA. – they are all veterans’ issues.
We are disgusted by the liberal “ends justify the means” attitude and the proliferation of “fake news.” We have come to expect gutter politics from the left. But for the first time, the dirtiest tactics are being used by one Republican candidate against another.
VIDOL appreciates Kris Kobak’s principled stand in his primary bid for Kansas governor. As an Advisory Board member, VIDOL knows Kris to be a true patriot who has incessantly demonstrated unwavering respect and genuine support for American veterans. However, an Ohio group called “A Public Voice, LLC” has broadcast a slanderous Hack ad spreading lies and fake news about Veterans in Defense of Liberty™ to smear Kris, alienate veterans and end his campaign for governor.
Although the purpose is blatantly apparent; the answer to one crucial question remains elusive. “The BBB seems to have developed a new standard for constitutional conservative grassroots advocacy organizations. It claimed, for example, that with regard to the controversial leftwing 501(c)(4) organization Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, a successor to the now-defunct ACORN, that the “organization is also not a charity and therefore BBB would not issue a BBB Charity Report.” The smear of VIDOL is so inconsistent with what the BBB claims to be its standards that this smells of partisan politics. Being never about VIDOL, other than to weaponize VIDOL against Secretary Kobach, at whose behest did the BBB violate any moral code and its own declared standard?
Any politician who goes this low in the gutter is not worthy of any public office.
VIDOL knows that Secretary of State Kris Kobach supports our mission in opposing groups that would, knowingly or otherwise, bring about the loss of our freedoms and the destruction of our Republic through the violation of the Constitution and the erosion of our traditional founding values and morals.
Secretary Kobach fights diligently against the “Culture of corruption in the Kansas state Capitol, as he stated, “I won’t rest until Kansans again have confidence in, and respect for, their government.” He himself will be a win for election integrity, for border security, small responsive government, state Term Limits and is an avid Second Amendment supporter. He will remain the nemesis of Sanctuary Cities, and Judicial Tyranny.
Regardless how the much or how often the Left and the Right sacrifice theirs; Veterans in Defense of Liberty™ will never compromise our integrity. As does Secretary Kobah, we hold ourselves not only to a greater cause, but also to a higher Authority.

Dr. Magill stated at that time, “If we can establish, for the first time in American history, that vehicle for American veterans to fulfill their oath, which did not vanish when we took off our uniforms for the last time, this will be a full time effort.”
